Ingredients: 1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 shot brandy, 1 bottle of el cheapo wine. Cut the oranges and lemons into wedges and squeeze the juice into a pitcher. Toss in the rinds as well and add the other ingredients; let sit in the fridge overnight. When serving, top with club soda or ginger ale.
My mom accidentally bought white zinfandel, which she apparently doesn’t like, so she asked me if I wanted to make something with it. Naturally I settled on sangria.
Sangria is really wine for people who don’t like wine, so if you do decide to make it, be sure to use the cheapest wine you can find. You’re not supposed to taste the wine! Also, just as a warning, this is the kind of stuff that really sneaks up on you. Like you’ve had 2 glasses and feel as if you’re drinking kool-aid, until all of a sudden you’re REALLY drunk and belatedly realizing you’ve just drunk an entire bottle of wine. Not that I’m speaking from personal experience or anything.
