Monte Carlo
Ingredients: 2 oz rye whiskey (okay, I used bourbon, I’ll admit it. It was rye bourbon, though), 1/2 oz Benedictine, 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Stir with ice and strain into a chilled glass.

This is sort of like a manhattan made with Benedictine. So far I haven’t been completely blown away by any Benedictine cocktail recipe. This one was okay, but Benedictine really does seem to go the best with brandy.
