Exile in Ryeville
Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz rye whiskey, 1/2 oz triple-sec, 1/4 oz lemon juice, 1/2 oz honey syrup, 2 dashes Snake Oil tobacco bitters OR AB Smeby Bittering Co. Highland Heather Bitters, OR Regan’s Orange Bitters No. 6. Shake with ice. Strain into a chilled glass that’s been rimmed with sugar and has a splash of Scotch whisky swirled around the inside.

This is a twist on a sidecar that uses rye whiskey. I liked the smokiness of the rye and the subtle balance of sweet, but for the amount of work to make this, I’m not sure it was worth it.
