Harvard cocktail
Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz Cognac, 3/4 oz sweet vermouth, 1/4 oz lemon juice, 1 teaspoon grenadine, 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters. Shake with ice and strain into a chilled glass.

Back in the day every club had a signature cocktail, and this was invented in 1895 for the Harvard Club—which, by the way, is located in New York City, not Cambridge.
This cocktail was pretty swank. It’s sort of like a mash-up between a manhattan and a sidecar, which sounds gross but really works. Recommended!
